What is fence-virtd

fence-virtd is:

The fencing framework consists of the agent (fence_virt) and the host daemon (fence_virtd). The fence_virtd host daemon is responsible for processing fencing requests from fence_virt agents running in virtual machines and routing the requests to the appropriate physical machine for action.

This package contains the fence_virtd daemon to be used on the physical host.

There are three methods to install fence-virtd on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install fence-virtd Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
