What is dynamic-edt-3d
The dynamicEDT3D library implements an incrementally updatable Euclidean distance transform (EDT) in 3D. It comes with a wrapper to use the OctoMap 3D representation and hooks into the change detection of the OctoMap library to propagate changes to the EDT.
We can use yum or dnf to install dynamic-edt-3d on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install dynamic-edt-3d.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall dynamic-edt-3d on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the dynamic-edt-3d package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove dynamic-edt-3d
