How To Install dosemu on Ubuntu 18.04

DOSEMU is a PC Emulator application that allows Linux to run a DOS operating system in a virtual x86 machine. This allows you to run many DOS applications.

There are three methods to install dosemu
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install dosemu Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install dosemu
using apt-get

Install dosemu Using aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install dosemu

How To Uninstall dosemu on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the dosemu
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove dosemu

To uninstall dosemu
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove dosemu
Remove dosemu Configurations and Data
To remove dosemu
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge dosemu
