What is dejavu-serif-fonts
The DejaVu font set is based on the “Bitstream Vera” fonts, release 1.10. Its purpose is to provide a wider range of characters, while maintaining the original style, using an open collaborative development process. This package consists of the DejaVu serif variable-width font faces, in their unabridged version.
We can use yum or dnf to install dejavu-serif-fonts on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install dejavu-serif-fonts.
Install dejavu-serif-fonts on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install dejavu-serif-fonts using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install dejavu-serif-fonts
Install dejavu-serif-fonts on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install dejavu-serif-fonts using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install dejavu-serif-fonts
How To Uninstall dejavu-serif-fonts on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the dejavu-serif-fonts package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove dejavu-serif-fonts
