How To Install cross-config on Debian 9

on Debian 9.
What is cross-config
cross-config is:
This package contains configuration files describing available cross architecture settings for use by autotools along with support for cross-building using CMake and a small number of package-specific cross-building configuration support files.
This package will remain after the deprecated dpkg-cross binary and supporting perl module have been removed.
There are three methods to install cross-config
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cross-config Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install cross-config
using apt-get

How To Uninstall cross-config on Debian 9
To uninstall only the cross-config
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cross-config

To uninstall cross-config
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cross-config
Remove cross-config Configurations and Data
To remove cross-config
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cross-config
