cl-csv is:

I had many scattered, not well tested, not easily runable pieces of csv code. I was unhappy with this situation then decided to refactor all of this into a single location. I wrote tests for it and had a library so I thought I might release it. This project started as extensions and bugfixes on arnesi’s CSV.

I then looked around and saw there are other csv libs out there that probably mostly accomplished what I had set out to do. However, I already had code that was tested and had an easier license (BSD) so, I figured why not just release it anyway.

There are three methods to install cl-csv on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install cl-csv Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install cl-csv using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install cl-csv

Install cl-csv Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install cl-csv using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install cl-csv

Install cl-csv Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install cl-csv using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install cl-csv

How To Uninstall cl-csv on Debian 9

To uninstall only the cl-csv package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove cl-csv

Uninstall cl-csv And Its Dependencies

To uninstall cl-csv and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove cl-csv

Remove cl-csv Configurations and Data

To remove cl-csv configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge cl-csv

Remove cl-csv configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove cl-csv configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cl-csv
