Ceilometer aims to deliver a Single Point Of Contact for billing systems, providing all the counters they need to establish customer billing, across all current and future OpenStack components. The delivery of counters must be traceable and auditable, the counters must be easily extensible to support new projects, and agents doing data collections should be independent of the overall system.

This package contains the API service.

There are three methods to install ceilometer-api on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ceilometer-api Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install ceilometer-api using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install ceilometer-api
