How To Install carla-vst on Ubuntu 20.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install carla-vst on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is carla-vst
carla-vst is:
Carla is an audio plugin host, with support for many audio drivers and plugin formats. It has some nice features like automation of parameters via MIDI CC and full OSC control. Currently supports LADSPA, DSSI, LV2, VST2/3 and AU plugin formats, plus SF2 and SFZ sounds banks.
This package contains the VST plugin. Task: ubuntustudio-audio
There are three methods to install carla-vst on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install carla-vst Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install carla-vst using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install carla-vst

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install carla-vst using apt by running the following command:

Install carla-vst Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install carla-vst using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install carla-vst
How To Uninstall carla-vst on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the carla-vst package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove carla-vst
Uninstall carla-vst And Its Dependencies
To uninstall carla-vst and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove carla-vst
Remove carla-vst Configurations and Data
To remove carla-vst configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge carla-vst
Remove carla-vst configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove carla-vst configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
