How To Install baresip-v4l2 on Rocky Linux 8

What is baresip-v4l2
Baresip is a modular SIP user-agent with audio and video support. These modules provide the Video4Linux video source and codec, where latter is for devices that support compressed formats such as H.264.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install baresip-v4l2
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install baresip-v4l2.
Install baresip-v4l2 on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install baresip-v4l2
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install baresip-v4l2
Install baresip-v4l2 on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install baresip-v4l2
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install baresip-v4l2
How To Uninstall baresip-v4l2 on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the baresip-v4l2
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove baresip-v4l2
