How To Install archivemail on Debian 9

What is archivemail
archivemail is:
Archivemail moves old mail out of a mailbox (in Maildir, MH, or mbox format, or via IMAP) and archives it in a compressed mbox-format mailbox file. It is well suited to be run from cron for automatic archiving of your old mail. Archivemail can also just delete old mail so it is useful for cleaning up mailing list or spam mailboxes.
There are three methods to install archivemail on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install archivemail Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install archivemail using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install archivemail using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install archivemail
Install archivemail Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install archivemail using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove archivemail

To remove archivemail configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge archivemail
