What is NetworkManager-config-server

This adds a NetworkManager configuration file to make it behave more like the old “network” service. In particular, it stops NetworkManager from automatically running DHCP on unconfigured ethernet devices, and allows connections with static IP addresses to be brought up even on ethernet devices with no carrier. This package is intended to be installed by default for server deployments.

Install NetworkManager-config-server on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install NetworkManager-config-server using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install NetworkManager-config-server

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install NetworkManager-config-server using yum by running the following command:

How To Uninstall NetworkManager-config-server on Rocky Linux 8

To uninstall only the NetworkManager-config-server package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove NetworkManager-config-server
