How To Install texlive-mathfont on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-mathfont on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-mathfont
The mathfont package provides a flexible interface for changing the font of math mode characters. The package allows the user to specify a default unicode font for each of six basic classes of Latin and Greek characters, and it provides additional support for unicode alphanumeric symbols. Crucially, mathfont is compatible with both LuaLaTeX and XeLaTeX, and it provides several font-loading commands that allow the user to change fonts locally or for individual symbols within math mode.
We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-mathfont on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-mathfont.
Install texlive-mathfont on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-mathfont using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-mathfont
Install texlive-mathfont on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-mathfont using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-mathfont
How To Uninstall texlive-mathfont on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-mathfont package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-mathfont
