What is texlive-latexmp
The MetaPost package latexMP implements a user-friendly interface to access LaTeX-based typesetting capabilities in MetaPost. The text to be typeset is given as string. This allows even dynamic text elements, for example counters, to be used in labels. Compared to other implementations it is much more flexible, since it can be used as direct replacement for btex..etex, and much faster, compared for example to the solution provided by tex.mp
We can use yum
or dnf
to install texlive-latexmp
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-latexmp.

Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-latexmp
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-latexmp

using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-latexmp
using yum

How To Uninstall texlive-latexmp on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-latexmp
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-latexmp
