How To Install texlive-fontools on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-fontools on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-fontools
This package provides a few tools to ease using fonts (especially Truetype/Opentype ones) with Latex and fontinst afm2afm - reencode .afm files; designed to replace fontinst’s \reencodefont for big .afm files; autoinst - simplify the use of the LCDF TypeTools by creating a command file for otftotfm, plus .fd and .sty files; and ot2kpx - extract all kerning pairs from an OpenType font.
We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-fontools on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-fontools.
Install texlive-fontools on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-fontools using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-fontools
Install texlive-fontools on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-fontools using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-fontools
How To Uninstall texlive-fontools on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-fontools package we can use the following command:
