What is qstardict

QStarDict is a StarDict clone written using Qt. The user interface is similar to StarDict. Main features * Full support of StarDict dictionaries * Working from the system tray * Scanning mouse selection and showing pop-up windows with translation of selected words * Translations reformatting * Pronouncing of the translated words * Plugins support

We can use yum or dnf to install qstardict on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install qstardict.

Install qstardict on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install qstardict using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install qstardict

Install qstardict on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install qstardict using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install qstardict

How To Uninstall qstardict on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the qstardict package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove qstardict
