What is maven-shade-plugin

This plugin provides the capability to package the artifact in an uber-jar, including its dependencies and to shade - i.e. rename - the packages of some of the dependencies.

We can use yum or dnf to install maven-shade-plugin on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install maven-shade-plugin.

Install maven-shade-plugin on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install maven-shade-plugin using dnf by running the following command:
