In this tutorial we learn how to install lxlauncher on Fedora 36.

What is `lxlauncher`

LXLauncher is designed as an open source replacement for the Asus Launcher included in their EeePC. It is desktop-independent and follows freedesktop.org specs, so newly added applications will automatically show up in the launcher, and vice versa for the removed ones. LXLauncher is part of LXDE, the Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment.

We can use yum or dnf to install lxlauncher on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install lxlauncher.

Install lxlauncher on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install lxlauncher using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install lxlauncher

Install lxlauncher on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install lxlauncher using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install lxlauncher

How To Uninstall lxlauncher on Fedora 36
