How To Install isns-utils on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install isns-utils
on Fedora 36.
What is isns-utils
The iSNS package contains the daemon and tools to setup a iSNS server, and iSNS client tools. The Internet Storage Name Service (iSNS) protocol allows automated discovery, management and configuration of iSCSI and Fibre Channel devices (using iFCP gateways) on a TCP/IP network.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install isns-utils
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install isns-utils.
Install isns-utils on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install isns-utils
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install isns-utils
Install isns-utils on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install isns-utils
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install isns-utils
How To Uninstall isns-utils on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the isns-utils
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove isns-utils
