How To Install giac-xcas on Fedora 36

Xcas is the Fltk graphic user interface to the computer algebra system giac. It supports formal computations, interactive 2D geometry, 3D plotting, spreadsheets with formal calculus and a Logo mode. There is also a programming editor, and many ways to consult the html help.
We can use yum or dnf to install giac-xcas on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install giac-xcas.
Install giac-xcas on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install giac-xcas using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install giac-xcas
Install giac-xcas on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install giac-xcas using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install giac-xcas
How To Uninstall giac-xcas on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the giac-xcas package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove giac-xcas
