What is gfs-orpheus-fonts
GFS Orpheus is a variation of GFS Orpheus Classic. It was based on the text found in a school textbook entitled Στοιχειώδης Φυσική Ιστορία, published by the publisher Anestis Konstantinidis in Athens on 1887. The x-height is shorter (longer descenders), while the uppercase characters and the numbers were designed from scratch, following more closely the style of the lowercase characters. GFS Orpheus was designed by George Triantafyllakos.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install gfs-orpheus-fonts
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install gfs-orpheus-fonts.

Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install gfs-orpheus-fonts
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install gfs-orpheus-fonts
Install gfs-orpheus-fonts on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install gfs-orpheus-fonts
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install gfs-orpheus-fonts
How To Uninstall gfs-orpheus-fonts on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the gfs-orpheus-fonts
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove gfs-orpheus-fonts
