In this tutorial we learn how to install soci-sqlite3 on CentOS 8.

What is soci-sqlite3

This package contains the SQLite3 back-end for soci, i.e., dynamic library specific to the SQLite3 database. If you would like to use soci in your programs with SQLite3, you will need to install soci-sqlite3.

We can use yum or dnf to install soci-sqlite3 on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install soci-sqlite3.

Install soci-sqlite3 on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

The output should look something like this:

After updating yum database, We can install soci-sqlite3 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install soci-sqlite3

How To Uninstall soci-sqlite3 on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the soci-sqlite3 package we can use the following command:
