In this tutorial we learn how to install g2clib-devel on CentOS 8.

What is g2clib-devel

This library contains “C” decoder/encoder routines for GRIB edition 2. The user API for the GRIB2 routines is described in file “grib2c.doc”. The g2clib-devel package contains libraries and header files for developing applications that use g2clib.

We can use yum or dnf to install g2clib-devel on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install g2clib-devel.

Install g2clib-devel on CentOS 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install g2clib-devel using dnf by running the following command:

How To Uninstall g2clib-devel on CentOS 8
